Imagine you manage a coven of baseball-playing vampires. The Cullen family is really strong this year and you want to bring in a ringer. Which currently active MLB baseball player do you sire?

If there are things more awesome than falling asleep and waking up next to a gorgeous girl in fishnets, I don't want to know.

I've fractured my knuckles twice this year. I should probably stop that.

Since I'll probably start working over night soon, I figured I should see if I'd be able to handle it. So, When I got home from the Spoon today, I tried to sleep for a few (actually about six) hours.

Didn't work so well.

[info]fresh_paint was "meeting someone for tea" and spent an hour and a half getting ready, rousing me every few minutes.

Then the dogs barked for fifteen minutes when she left.

I nearly gave up and got out of bed, but I decided to take a few Benadryl instead.

That worked. I slept relatively comfortably until just after ten. Just like I'd planned.

I got up, did some reading, research and watched a movie.

It's shortly after four a.m. The sun will be rising soon. My original plan was to be in bed about now, grab a few hours of sleep and head to work.

However, I have to leave a door unlocked because she's yet to return from "tea" and I can't sleep with the house unsecured.

Now, don't think that I'm upset that she went on a date. Because I really couldn't possibly care less.

No. What bugs me is that she couldn't be fucking bothered to be honest with me that she was going on a date and grant me the courtesy of letting me know that she was not going to be home and not leave me to take care of her half-dozen pets.

You know what? Fuck it. I'm locking the house. She can go to work straight from whoever's place she spent the night at.
