Since I'll probably start working over night soon, I figured I should see if I'd be able to handle it. So, When I got home from the Spoon today, I tried to sleep for a few (actually about six) hours.

Didn't work so well.

fresh_paint was "meeting someone for tea" and spent an hour and a half getting ready, rousing me every few minutes.

Then the dogs barked for fifteen minutes when she left.

I nearly gave up and got out of bed, but I decided to take a few Benadryl instead.

That worked. I slept relatively comfortably until just after ten. Just like I'd planned.

I got up, did some reading, research and watched a movie.

It's shortly after four a.m. The sun will be rising soon. My original plan was to be in bed about now, grab a few hours of sleep and head to work.

However, I have to leave a door unlocked because she's yet to return from "tea" and I can't sleep with the house unsecured.

Now, don't think that I'm upset that she went on a date. Because I really couldn't possibly care less.

No. What bugs me is that she couldn't be fucking bothered to be honest with me that she was going on a date and grant me the courtesy of letting me know that she was not going to be home and not leave me to take care of her half-dozen pets.

You know what? Fuck it. I'm locking the house. She can go to work straight from whoever's place she spent the night at.

circle the proper word

I'd say you're far [nobler/crazier] than I am for [living/putting up] with an ex after [breaking up/getting dumped], but I know there's not much of a choice there until you can [find/afford] your own place.

Out of curiosity- is the place you're living at originally hers and you moved in, or did you move into it together?

Re: circle the proper word
Well, I moved into an apartment on Christmas in 2007. Shortly afterward, she moved into the same complex. The management was shitty, not fixing things and violating several laws and building codes. She decided to break her lease and I thought it was best if I did the same thing.

She found the house we're currently sharing and we moved in together.

So, the last one.
